Sudan: Usama Faisal Affirms Sudan Support to African Union

Addis Ababa — The State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Usama Faisal and head of Sudan delegation for meetings of the 20th extraordinary session of the African Union's Executive Office, Usama Faisal, has appreciated the continuous efforts of the council for achieving institutional reform at the African Union.

At the Executive Council's meetings Wednesday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs affirmed that the institutional reform at the African Union shall contribute to achieving integration and partnership between the African countries.

The minister has called for tightening the coordination between the African Union and other sub regional organizations to avoid any kind of conflict and to maximize the benefits.

He gave Sudan's vision on reform at the African Union with regard to the number of commissions, the idea of introducing the position of general director at the commission, the budget and other relevant issues.

Faisal has asserted Sudan support to any endeavor that is conducive to enhancing the roles of the African Union for achieving the aspired goals.
