At least 14 people were on Monday morning killed in the South Central city of Galkaayo after militants attacked the compound of controversial cleric Abdiweli Elmi Yare.
Among the dead is the cleric's wife and three sons. Two militants were killed in the attack while two were arrested according to a police source in Galkaayo.
Al Shabaab had previously accused the cleric of blasphemy.
