Nairobi Senator Sakaja Johnson has taken on City Hall after moving to court to suspend Governor Mike Sonko's ban on matatus from the Central Business District (CBD).

Mr Sakaja cited lack of public participation and availability of viable alternatives in bid to block Mr Sonko's ban.

Police and traffic marshals started effecting the ban early Monday morning, forcing matatus to drop off passengers outside the CBD.
