Somalia: Prime Minister of Somalia Arrives in Doha

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Ali Khairi, and his accompanying delegation arrived in Doha on Wednesday, on a visit to the country.

Upon his arrival at Hamad International Airport, the Somali Prime Minister was welcomed by the Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs, Yousef bin Mohammed Al Othman Fakhro, and the Somali Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Abdul Razzaq Farah Ali.

Prime minister Khayre held talks with Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani on ways and means to strengthen these relations to serve the interests of both countries and peoples and their shared aspirations for a bright and prosperous future.

"I arrived in Doha for an official visit. I met with Qatari officials on bilateral relations and implementations of things agreed by President Farmajo and Qatari King," said PM Khayre in a twitter post.

Last year, Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) signed a partnership agreement with the Somali government aimed at strengthening its efforts in the area of stability and economic development.
