Addis Ababa — President Sahlework Zewde received Achim Steiner, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Achim Steiner, who arrived in Addis Ababa this morning, is on a two-day working visit to Ethiopia beginning Monday.
During his discussion with President Sahlework at the national palace, Steiner congratulated her on recent appoint as the country's first female president of Ethiopia.
He also underlined UNDP's commitment to support Ethiopia's reform agenda.
On his two day visit, Steiner is also expected to meet with other government officials and key stakeholders to discuss on strategic support for the reform agenda.
Moreover, Steiner will also visit the Bole Lemi Industrial Park where he will hold a dialogue with representatives of the business community, according to UNDP.
Steiner will also engage with innovation hubs and local entrepreneurs on the top of attending the 60th anniversary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), and meet with key development partners, and the UN country team.
