Angola: IATF / 2018 - Intra-African Fair Opens Doors Focused On Free Trade Zone

Cairo — The implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Zone (ZCLCA) agreements, scheduled for 2019, to accelerate the production of local goods and services and to emerge from the economic dependence of African countries, dominated the official opening of the first Intra-African Trade Fair, which began today in Egypt.

The opening ceremony was chaired by the Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

During the opening speeches, the members of the African Union (AU) and governments reiterated the need to take a serious commitment to the human and natural resources available to Africa to avoid the continued economic and financial dependence on other continents.

At the official opening ceremony of the Angola Multisectoral Pavilion at IATF / 2018, the Angolan ambassador to Egypt, António da Costa Fernandes, endorsed the same idea, stressing that Africa has sufficient potential to transform the continent into a world economic power and ensure prosperity to their people.
