Ethiopia: President Sahle-Work Confers With Danish Ambassador

Addis Ababa — President Sahle-Work Zewde held discussion with Danish Ambassador to Ethiopia, Karin Poulsen at the National Palace on Thursday, according to Office of the President.

On the closed door discussion, they deliberated on the mutual interests of the two countries concerning bilateral and multilateral issues.

Stating that the cooperation between the two countries are based on shared interests in peace, poverty reduction, food security, the President appreciated the vital role being played by Danish Development Cooperation in alleviating poverty in Ethiopia.

Ambassador Karin underlined the importance of the attention played by the two governments to cement the relations between the two countries.

She also appreciated the ongoing reforms in Ethiopia.

It is recalled that Denmark launched its first five year (2018-2022) country strategy to support promoting democracy, fight poverty and create sustainable growth in Ethiopia last December.
