Zimbabwe: Government Rights Commission Confirms Death of 8 Protesters

The Zimbabwe Human Rights Commission (ZHRC) has confirmed eight civilian deaths arising from army gunshots during last week's ill-fated anti-government protests torched by fuel price increases.

The Commission revealed this during a Tuesday Harare briefing by its Commissioner Sheila Matindike who presented the findings of the government rights body's preliminary investigations into the deadly skirmishes.
