Angola: Construction of Mbanza Kongo's Satellite City Takes Off Soon

Mbanza Kongo — The minister of Spatial Planning and Housing, Ana Paula de Carvalho, last Wednesday in the northern Zaire Province assured that financial conditions are now gathered for the effective start of the construction works of the Mbanza Kongo satellite city.

The minister made this statement to the press in the end of a visit to the site of the project, at 11 de Novembro ward.

She explained that although the undertaking was awarded to the contractor in the year 2017, the financial difficulties that came about were only overcome in 2018.

She went on to say that now there is certainty that this project will now take off.

The new Mbanza Kongo satellite city, which should be completed in a period of just over twelve months, will have 13 three-floor buildings, in a total of 200 flats of three bedrooms, as well as infrastructures of commercial services.
