Uganda: Power Outage Causes Water Supply Hitch in Kampala

A power outage at Ggaba Water Works has caused a water supply hitch in an around Kampala city.

According to a notice by the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC), a team from Umeme Ltd, has been dispatched to fix the problem.

"The hiccup is going to affect the network drastically. Please store water that is still in the lines and use it sparingly," a public notice by NWSC that was on Sunday circulated via social media.

NWSC said they are downscaling pumpage/switching off all booster stations in Kampala as a precautionary measure.
