Angola: President Dismisses Sovereign Fund Board Director

Luanda — The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, dismissed on Monday Miguel Damião Gago from the position of board director of the Sovereign Fund of Angola (FSDEA).

On a note that has reached ANGOP, the Civil House of the President of the Republic indicates that Miguel Damião Gago had been appointed on January 12, 2018.

Created in 2012, the Sovereign Fund has the mission to promote growth, prosperity as well as economic and social development of the country.

The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, on January 10, 2018, appointed a new board of directors of the FSDEA, chaired by Carlos Alberto Lopes, replacing José Filomeno dos Santos.
