Initially, it was planned to produce and distribute 28.2 million textbooks in public education to meet the needs of students enrolled in primary education.
However, up to date 63 percent of the material has been produced and is in distribution.
Private primary education, however, requires five million manuals to meet the needs of 1.5 million enrolled students.
The use of the books produced by INIDE in public and private schools, according to the official who was speaking at a press conference, follows the pretension of standardizing the educational contents in the scope of national examinations.
