Luanda — The Ministry of Former Combatants and Veterans of the Homeland has announced measure to protect the plots of land distributed to the members of the sector to ensure inviolable by opportunists.
The measure was announced Monday by the incumbent minister, João Ernesto dos Santos "Liberdade".
The achieve this goal, the minister said that the sector is working with the authorities of the Urban District of Ramiros, municipality of Belas, Luanda.
João Ernesto dos Santos "Liberdade" was speaking at a meeting held with the former combatants residing in the Urban District of Ramiros, as part of a visit to assess the current situation of the sector.
During the meeting, the former combatants raised various issues.
Concern focused on registration and legalisation of plots of land, improvement of living conditions, construction works of residents of the former combatants, as well as the blood pension.
The minister, who delivered sewing kits for the widows to generate income, also visited Tuesday the locality of Bita Tanque, municipality of Viana, for the same purpose.
The Ministry of Former Combatants controls 160,554 members, among former combatants, war disabled, orphans and widows.
