President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday said that he won't comment on the result of Saturday's elections, until when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) releases the final result.

Buhari spoke when he landed at the Presidential wing of the Nnamadi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, from Daura Katsina state, where he cast his votes.

Asked to comment on the result of presidential and national assembly elections, the president, said he won't comment on rumours.

"I don't want to depend on rumours, but we will rather wait for INEC to announce the results," he said.

On his message to Nigerians, he said, "Well, l hope that Nigerians will appreciate that it was this government that made sure that they were allowed in a secure and peaceful manner to cast their votes for whichever party and candidates they wanted."
