Ethiopia: Amhara Regional State Gets New Chief Administrator

Addis Ababa — Dr. Ambachew Mekonnen was elected Chief Administrator of the Amhara Regional State today, following the resignation of the former Chief Administrator Gedu Andargachew.

The regional council accepted the resignation letter submitted by Gedu Andargachew early this morning.

Dr. Ambachew was subsequently nominated. The new Chief Administrator had served as Infrastructure and Urban Development Advisor to the Prime Minister.
