Angola: World Bank Learns About Reforms in Angola

Luanda, 12 March — The World Bank's Vice-President for the African Region, Hafez Ghanem, visits Angola from 13 to 15 this month to learn about the country's current momentum driven by government reforms.

For the first time in Angola, Hafez Ghanem, as the World Bank's head at the regional level, will note the evolution of the implementation of the portfolio of projects financed by this Bretton Woods institution.

During his stay in Angola, the World Bank official will meet with the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, according to the document to which Angop had access from the representation of this financial institution in Angola.

The program includes, among other activities, a meeting with the economic team led by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, Manuel Nunes Júnior, who will talk about the program of macroeconomic stabilization and economic reform under way.
