Angola: MPLA Approves Party's Ethical Code

Luanda — The ruling MPLA party has approved its party?s code of ethics to better regulate the behaviour of its militants, staff and leaders.

This was at the 4th Ordinary Meeting of Secretariat of Politburo of that political organisation held Thursday in Luanda. The meeting also adjusted the draft resolutions on the enlargement of the MPLA Central Committee and the amendments to be introduced in the Party Statutes. As for the staff policy, the Politburo consented to the appointment of Hortênsio Nunes Gabriel to the post of second secretary of Provincial Committee in northern Zaire province.

Another member Ciel da Conceição Aguiar Cristóvão was appointed head of the Economic Policy Division for Economic Policy Department of the Central Committee. The participants also addressed the MPLA's 3rd Parliamentary activities to be held in eastern Lunda Norte province.

The ruling party also urged the population to participate in the celebrations to mark the expansion of the armed struggle, on 15 March.
