South Africa: Kareedouw SAPS Seeks Public's Assistance

Kareedouw police are seeking assistance of the public in solving a murder case after the body of Piet Olifant was found with a stab wound in the neck in the open yard in Clarkson three months ago.

On Tuesday, 04 December 2018 at about 5am, it is alleged that the police were summoned to a complaint of a person lying in an open yard in Lang Street, Clarkson (Kareedouw) with a stab wound in the neck. At the scene, a man was identified as Piet Olifant (50) from Clarkson and was declared dead.

Police opened a case of murder and followed all leads, and now residents are urged to assist with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect (s) to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Bernard Meyer at 042 288 7128 or information may also be shared via Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
