Nigeria: Police Nab Kidnapper, 4 Car Snatchers in Katsina

Katsina police command has arrested a suspected robber and kidnapper and four men belonging to trans-border syndicates of car snatchers.

Spokesman of the command, SP Gambo Isah, said "On 20/03/2019, the Command succeeded in arresting one Ibrahim Lawal, of Faskari member of a notorious armed robbery and kidnapping syndicate terrorising Faskari LGA of Katsina State.

"Nemesis caught up with the suspect when him and other members of the syndicate, armed with Dane guns blocked Zamfarawa feeder road and robbed one Umaru Rabi'u, of Munhaye village, of N26,000."

Also, on the same date, Safer High Way police patrol team on routine patrol along Mashi - Daura road, intercepted a Honda Accord car with registration number AA 182 MSW with four occupants.

In the cause of investigation suspects confessed to have stolen the vehicle from Kofar-Kaura Quarters, Katsina state, he said.
