Nigeria: Presidency Plotting to Hijack Rerun Polls - PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said, yesterday, that there was a security meeting by the Presidency with certain top officials of INEC and security agencies, where they allegedly hatched "an obnoxious plot to hijack" tomorrow's supplementary elections.

Addressing a press conference, yesterday, in Abuja, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan said "our party is already leading and coasting to inevitable victory in all the affected states."

The PDP alleged that there were underground moves to militarise and manipulate the election on voting day, saying all well-meaning Nigerians must resist any attempt to rig the elections.

"The PDP, therefore, in an unequivocal term, cautions the APC and agents of the Buhari presidency to know that Nigerians will never be intimidated but will confront and crush any oppressive force that attempts to defy and subvert their will at the Supplementary polls," he said.
