Sudan: Curfew Lifted and Emergency Law Convicts Released

Demonstrators converge on Sudanese Ministry of Defence

The Interim Military Council announced the abolition of the curfew and the release of all those sentenced under the Emergency Law or any other law during recent demonstrations and protests.

In a statement issued, Saturday, the Council affirmed that it would pay due attention to the promotion, and protection of human rights in accordance with the international and regional conventions ratified by Sudan.
