Nigeria: Drake Follows Niniola On Instagram, Requests for Her Song On Radio

Nigerian songstress, Niniola is currently over the moon with joy after international superstar, Drake followed her on social media platform, Instagram.

The "Maradona" hitmaker who could not contain her excitement took to Instagram to announce the follow to her fans.

She wrote,

"Imagine waking up in the morning to find out Drake Just followed you... Hmmmm, This Isolo girl Sha!!! I followed back immediately @champagnepapi Welcome #NINIOLA #QOAH #AFROBOSS #NAIJA2DWORLD".

She had an even bigger surprise coming for her a few days later because the Canadian rapper took his admiration of her to another level when he requested for her song on a radio show he was co-hosting in the United Kingdom.

On the radio show with Tiffany Calver on BBC 1xtra, Drake requested for Niniola's hit song 'Maradona' to be played.

As expected, she reacted to the kind gesture by taking to Instagram and this time she wrote,

"When your new Bestie @champagnepapi starts to watch your back while co-hosting the show Last night with @tiffanycalver @bbc1xtra."

Niniola's sister, Teni who is also a singer also joined in celebrating with Niniola by adding a dose of humour to the situation. On her part, Teni wrote,

"I can collapse!!!!!! We are going to LA!! EGBON MI TI BLOW DANU DANI!!!! Congratulations to the APATA FAMILY!!! Drake Oluwa champagne papi is now following my sister @officialniniola on IG. I will be sending invitation card for the party. Thanks and God bless. Number 9 APATA gang!!"

Niniola came into limelight when she participated in the sixth season of Project Fame West Africa in 2013. She has since gone on to do very well for herself with the release of her debut single "Ibadi". She was nominated in the Most Promising Act to Watch category at the 2015 Nigerian Entertainment Awards and has gone on to produce hit songs to make her a delight to fans.
