Nigeria: Organisers Envisage Bright Future As 65 Lagos Children Get Karate Tutorials

As part of its efforts to discover and nurture talents from their formative age, the Lagos State Karate Association at the weekend held its maiden Kumite, Kata competition where 65 children were exposed to the rudiments of the sport.

The Karate Championship, held at the National Stadium, Surulere, also featured wheelchair championship, which is an aspect of Karate that enables special sports athletes to compete in the sport like their able-bodied counterparts.
