Zimbabwe: Takura Unleashes Video, Waylays Followers With 'Wedding Pics'

Zimbabwean hip-hop megastar, Takura released a track 'Zvemoyo' putting to rest social media speculations that he had tied the knot last Thursday.

The 'Zino Irema' hitmaker set tongues wagging after he posted images of himself locked in an embrace with an unidentified woman at their 'wedding'.

The 'couple's' proximity invited much speculation, with fans congratulating Takura on his Facebook and Instagram pages.

It however, seemed to have been a well-thought-out marketing strategy as the music video scooped number 1 trending on YouTube ahead of Acie Lumumba, Jah Prayzah and Baba Harare' s music videos.

'Zvemoyo: Matters of the heart' has bagged over 65 000 views within 48 hours of its release on the world's largest video-sharing website.

It has however emerged that the hip hop luminary did not marry but the 'wedding' images were shot during 'Zvemoyo' visuals production.

The four minute passionate music video was produced by Youngnash and Spirit Fingers.

Mr Okay Okay as Takura is affectionately known by fans clearly grabbed music lovers attention, and was applauded for the great 'marketing strategy'.
