South Africa: Man Seriously Injured After Crash in Underground Parking

Tokai — A man, believed to be in his 60s, was left seriously injured this morning when he lost control of his vehicle causing it to crash in an underground parking at a mall in Tokai, Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 11h40 to find the vehicle against a small wall in the parking area. A man, believed to be in his 60s, was found lying next to his vehicle.

Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained serious injuries to his waist and leg, leaving him in a serious condition.

The man was treated for his injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Groote Schuur Hospital for further care.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigation.
