Nigeria: NLC President to Speak On New Minimum Wage in Yobe

The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Ayuba Wabba, will speak on the new minimum wage while delivering a lecture at the public presentation of a book launch 'Governor Ibrahim Gaidam: Founder of Modern Yobe.'

The book will be presented on Monday, April 29, 2019, at the Government House, Damaturu, Yobe State, with the labour leader's theme of: "Prudence and Accountability as Panacea for Effective Implementation of Minimum Wage in Nigeria: The Yobe State Example".

NLC also said the lecture would serve as avenue for insight on what employers of labour and some governors should do to guarantee continuous payment of the N30,000 new minimum wage.

Gov. Gaidam's book will be reviewed by Prof. Danjuma Gambo, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Maiduguri.
