South Africa: Two Trucks Collide Leaving Man Seriously Injured

Crammond — A 57-year-old man was left seriously injured this morning when a truck collided with another on the R33 in Crammond, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 08h58 to find both vehicles in the road. The driver of the one truck was found walking around on the scene while the other driver was found seated inside his vehicle.

Paramedics assessed the men and found that the driver in the vehicle had sustained numerous injuries and was in a serious condition. The second driver escaped serious injury.

Paramedics carefully extricated the driver, treated him for his injuries and provided him with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Mediclinic Pietermaritzburg by ER24.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
