Zambia: Grand-Pa Bitten to Death

A 79-YEAR-OLD man of Kawambwa District has been bitten to death by his daughter and granddaughter on suspicion of practising witchcraft.

Webster Mwengula of Mutono Village in Chief Munkunta's area is alleged to have bewitched his great grand-daughter by causing her to choke to death through witchcraft.

The pair attacked the old man during a ritual at his home conducted on Wednesday last week to divine the cause of girl's death.

Police said the attack and left Mr Mwengula unconscious and in a drainage of his own blood.

He was taken to the local hospital where he succumbed to the horrendous injuries on Sunday morning.
