Zambia: Indeni Fend Off Buffaloes Test

Indeni stayed top of the Zambia Volleyball Association (ZAVA) 2019 national league thanks to a gritty 3-2 win over Green Buffaloes as the Week Two games were marred by apathy from travelling teams.

With Week Two fixtures played on the Copperbelt at the Kitwe Playing Fields (KPF), midlands teams among them Red Arrows men and Eagles, and the Nkwazi ladies did not make the journey to Kitwe.

ZAVA general secretary Gift Chisekela said Nkwazi and Eagles had requested for their games to be postponed but the requested reached the federation late hence they forfeited points.

The only game that was officially postponed was the one between Flight Spikers and Arrows men.
