Lonestar Coach, Thomas Kojo has termed as untrue reports that two of his players were dropped for failing Medical test.
Liberia Sports Online recently reported that player Curtis Koon and Kelvin Potis were dropped from the Lone Star squad for poor performance during the medical examination.
But Coach Kojo in an interview with Liberia Sports Online clarified that at no time was Curtis Koon call for national team duty.
According to him, Watanga Carlos Williams and BYC's Kelvin Potis were the two players dropped due to injuries.
The Lone Star Coach added that Player Carlos was invited but did not join the squad due injuries while Potis failed the Physical test and not the medical.
It can be recalled; Coach Thomas Kojo recently released a 25 man delegation that was subjected to medical ahead of the nation ensuing CHAN qualifiers.
Coach Kojo asserted that both players have automatically been dropped from the Lone Star squad.
He at the same time admitted that 23 of the 25players successfully passed the Physical and Medical Examinations.
Meanwhile, the local national team will play host to Senegal in the preliminary rounds of the upcoming CHAN nations on July 28, 2019 before travelling to Dakar the following week for the returned leg.
The CHAN qualifier is organized to promote only local players plying their soccer ⚽ career in Domestic competitions.
