Luanda — The national senior men and women?s handball championship is to kick off later this Wednesday in what is the 41st edition of the competition.
The women's teams of ASA vs Atlético do Namibe and Progresso do Sambizanga vs Desportivo do Maculusso are to clash in the first match of the championship at Luanda Cidadela pavilion.
The women's championship is to be contested by 10 teams in two series (A, B) in round robin system, while the second phase the team qualifies for semi-final and the final is played best of three games.
In the meantime, the men's category is to have six teams to play in the round robin system.
Petro de Luanda (women) and 1º de Agosto (men) are the defending champions.
