Angola: Governor Encourages Denunciation of Illegal Acts

Luena — The provincial governor of Moxico, Gonçalves Muandumba, on Thursday in Luena, encouraged young people to report illegal acts, in order to help in the program to combat corruption and nepotism in the country.

The official made these statements when attending a meeting with 100 young people, and said that it was necessary to involve all citizens in the actions of governance, each one doing his/her part to moralize society, in order to correct the wrong and better what is good.

On the other hand, he recalled that there are 87 constant actions in the Integrated Municipal Intervention Program for Moxico (PIIM), of which 28 are provincial, 50 municipal and nine central.

He made it known that the PIIM in the province of Moxico gives priority to projects in the education sector, as there are 10,000 students, who study in inappropriate places.

Regarding the supply of electricity to the city of Luena, the governor said that the problem will be minimized, starting in August this year, after the inauguration of a new 20 Mega Watts (MW) centrel.
