Somalia: Loud Explosion, Gunfire Heard in Mogadishu

A loud explosion was heard in Somalia's capital Mogadishu on Monday morning, followed by heavy gunfire, according to our correspondent.

The blast was reported in the vicinity of the first security checkpoint of the city's main airport, Adde Abdulle International airport.

Details of the casualties remain sketchy.
