Luanda — Angola senior men's basketball team have summoned for the first time, an NBA player to their squad to take part in the FIBA World Cup to be held in China.

The athlete is the 2, 08 meters power forward, Bruno Fernando who currently plays for Atlanta Hawks.
The player, who was trained at Angola's 1º de Agosto youth category has already played for several US universities and was part of the Atlanta Hawks squad that disputed the summer games following the signing of his three-year contract with the team.
Angola will also count on the presence of Sílvio Sousa, who is currently playing for Kansas University in US.
