Angola Draw With Eswatini

Luanda — The national football team was unable to translate its favoritism on the pitch by drawing 1-1 with Eswatini (former Swaziland) on Sunday in the first leg of the penultimate qualifying round the to African Nations Cup (CHAN'2020), to be played in Cameroon.

Manguxi's goal in 50 minutes was insufficient for Palancas Negras's almost-announced win, which allowed for equality even in the final stage in 90 minutes.

At Mavuso Sports Center Stadium in Manzini, Angola entered as 32nd in the CAF Ranking, ten more places than the opponent (22nd). So far, in the 11 matches they count seven wins, three draws (now four) and only one defeat.

History records a 7-1 thrashing in 2000 at Cidadela Stadium for the second leg of the 2002 FIFA World Cup qualifying round, co-organized by Japan and South Korea.

The second leg will take place on August 3 at the 11 de Novembro Stadium in Luanda. Angola was already runners up of this internal race in 2011 in Sudan.
