Seychelles: Speaker's Corner, a Place for Free Speech and Protest, Is Designated in Seychelles

Seychelles is taking another step to support freedom of speech by approving regulations to designate an area where open-air public speaking, debate and discussion are allowed.

The Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Institutional Affairs, Johny Bastienne, said on Thursday that the new regulations "will provide an area in law to give everyone an equal chance to exercise their fundamental right to freedom of expression."
