Angola: National Production Supplies Hotel Industry

Luanda — The chairman of the Angolan Association of Hotels and Resorts (AHRA), Armindo César said Thursday in Luanda that National production is now able to supply part of the needs of the Angolan restaurant and hotel industry.

Speaking at the launching session of the 1st edition of ExpoHotel, he said that the national market already offers food products, hygiene and textile products for the hotel industry.

He also believes that programs in the framework of economic and public diversification in areas such as agriculture and aquaculture can add value to production for the hotel industry, thereby accelerating consumption.

As for the 1st edition of ExpoHotel, to be held as from 26 to 29 September, he announced that it will be held at the facilities of the Public Television of Angola (TPA), Camama district, in a space of 25.000 square meters, to house the largest number of exhibitors from all over the country.

For the organization of the exhibition, AHRA expects to disburse 360 million kwanzas and each exhibiting company will be entitled to an exhibition area ranging from nine to 36 square meters.

Each participant will have to pay the organization 280.000 kwanzas for the stand.
