Ghana: NTC Loses Jonathan Gmanyami

Mr Jonathan Gmanyami, 57, Assistant Editor of The Spectator has passed on. Affectionately called Uncle Joe, he died suddenly at the Cocoa Clinic in Accra.

Jonathan joined New Times Corporation after completing the Ghana Institute of Journalism in September, 1992. He rose through the ranks to become an Assistant Editor on January 1, 2011.

He left behind a wife, Irene Aku Essinam Akakpo, four children, Bernice Gmanyami, Jonathan Gmanyami, Mavis Gmanyami, Comfort Delali Gmanyami and a granddaughter.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
