Southern Africa: Legwaila, Katlholo in SADC Mission

Gaborone — Botswana representatives in the SADC electoral observation mission are scheduled to leave for Maputo, Mozambique today.

According to a press release from the Office of the President, government has nominated Ambassador Joseph Legwaila and Mr Tymon Katlholo as observers to Mozambique's presidential, provincial and legislative elections scheduled for October 15.

Ambassodor Legwaila is the leader of the Botswana delegation. He has served in many capacities, including as Botswana's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, USA.

Mr Katlholo is former director of the Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime.

The delegation is expected back home on October 18.
