The two-day Tusker OktobaFest that went down over the weekend at the Ngong Racecourse grounds set a benchmark on how to hold an event.
The event was more than just a beer festival, with an all Kenyan line-up of artistes entertaining the revellers.
Sauti Sol's performance carried the night but the Gengetone stars who include Ethic, Sailors Gang, Chris Kaiga and Ochungulo Family also gave the veteran entertainers a run for their money.
Sauti Sol took to the stage just past midnight and shut down the night with epic performance. But what was interesting was how some female fans were left drooling for Bien Baraza with some showing their love to the electrifying performance through their innerwear.
Bien returned the favour by donning some of them as he performed.
There were four five stages to entertain the revelers simultaneously.
There was a gaming area, with interactive activities that included festival and arcade games, touch rugby, giant jenga and pool among others.
The festival also had a wide variety of Kenyan street food ranging from Nyama Choma, samosa and mutura, to name but a few.
There were the Cider Garden and Tusker Lite glow party stages which had some Kenyan disc jockeys such as DJ Adrian, DJ Coco Em, Suraj and DJ Redbone on the decks.
The Beer Garden featured artists like Karun, 'Spicy Season' hitmaker Vallerie Muthoni, a heavily-pregnant Phy and Tetushani.
But the main stage was the place to be as it consisted of music to suit both the young and old party-goers.
As the event came to a close on Sunday, other Kenyan acts, who included Nadia Mukami, H_art the Band, Khaligraph Jones and Nyashinski give their all.
DJ Joe Mfalme was the highlight of Sunday night while the Beer Garden came to life with performances by Makadem and top Kikuyu musician Samidoh.
Other artistes who performed at the event included, Sol Generation's Nviiri the Storyteller and Bensoul, Fena, The Kansoul, DJ Hypnotique, DJ Bash, Blinky Bill, DJ Taio and DJ Protege.
The jam packed venue saw, Kenyans part with Sh1,000 as entry fee, which was reasonable for such a big event and brought in everyone who wanted to have some good time.
Oh, and yes, there were the usual cases of petty thefts and bhang smoking with no shortage of alcohol.
