Sudan: Imminent Decision On Immediate Halting Import of Mercury

Khartoum — A source at Ministry of Energy and Mining said that the Ministry would start immediate stoppage of mercury import avoiding the country from the existing quantities to reach complete stoppage of using the substance by 2020.

As for cyanide, the source added that strict international standards on use of cyanide would be implemented
