Eritrea: Various Activities By Nationals in Diaspora

Asmara — Eritrean nationals in the Diaspora have conducted various activities depicting their attachment with their homeland.

According to report, a seminar was conducted in Bologna, Italy, on 6 October aimed at encouraging nationals become beneficiaries by investing in their country in the agricultural and innovation sectors.

Mr. Girmai Habtemicael, head of Public and Community Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in Italy, gave extensive briefing on the investment opportunities in Eritrea and called on the nationals to take advantage of the opportunities created.

The participants on their part expressed readiness to take advantage of the opportunities the Government of Eritrea has created.

Likewise, heads and representatives of national associations and communities from 21 cities in Germany have conducted a meeting on 5 October with a view to strengthen organizational capacity and participation in the national development drives.

At the meeting, Mr. Kahsai Tewolde, head of Public and Community Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in Germany, gave extensive briefing on the objective situation in the homeland and called for strengthening organizational capacity and unity and play due part in the implementation of national development programs.

Indicating that Eritrean communities in the Diaspora have significant contribution in preserving and strengthening national values and transfer them to the young generation, Dr. Tesfay Ablelom, Chairman of the National Association in Germany, called for strengthening contribution.

In the same vein, the Charge d'Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in Australia, Mr. Mehari Tekeste conducted seminar to Eritrean nationals residing in Brisbane on 5 October on the objective situation in the homeland.

Indicating that in this new era the people and Government of Eritrea are working to ensure economic, social, and political as well as diplomatic and cultural development, Mr. Mehari called on the nationals to take advantage of the investment opportunities in their homeland.
