Botswana: Cllr Arafat Khan Arrested, Detained

Unconfirmed reports from Molepolole North constituency indicate that Borakalalo ward Councillor

for the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) has been arrested and detained after being suspected

of stealing some documents from IEC office that contains contacts of registered people and later used the

information to contact the electorates directly.

He is cureently in police custody, as confirmed by area MP Mohammed Khan in a Facebook post.

was found in possession of the suspected stolen documents and taken in for questioning leading to the arrest of Arafat
