Nairobi — A University of Nairobi lecturer was arrested on Thursday after a decomposing body of her son was found in her South B estate house.

Detectives say her 13-year-old son's body was found wrapped in a blanket, inside the house.

The body was discovered Wednesday evening according to a detective privy to the ongoing investigations.

Nairobi Police boss Phillip Ndolo said police want to establish the circumstances that led to the death of the boy and those involved.

"Investigations are ongoing, so that we can establish what transpired," he told Capital FM News.
