Eritrea: Meeting On Implementation of Development Programs

Barentu — The Governor of the Gash Barka region, Mr. Abraha Garza conducted meetings with the residents of the sub-zones of Mogolo, Dige, Akordet and Mesnura on the implementation of charted out development programs.

At the meetings that were conducted from 26 to 29 October, Mr. Abraha Garza indicating that sustainable effort is being exerted to enable the residents become beneficiaries of social services, commended the residents for the initiative they have been conducting to address the challenges they have been facing.

Indicating that residents have not been beneficiaries of social services in general and that of educational facilities in particular, Mr. Osman Mohammed-Ali, chairman of the Gash Barka Assembly, called for the implementation of the internal regulations that are being issued by the regional assembly.

The participants on their part expressed readiness to strengthen participation in the implementation of the charted out development drives and called for alleviating potable water supply in the sub-zones and for additional school class rooms.
