Kenya: Flooding Disrupts Traffic Flow in Mombasa Following Heavy Rainfall

Mombasa — A heavy downpour early Monday caught Mombasa residents by surprise, causing flooding in the city's Central Business District resulting in traffic jams

Other areas affected included the upmarket Nyali Estate, Majengo, Fidel Odinga Road where flooded roads caused a snarl-up.

Some residents experienced difficulties leaving their houses due to huge amounts of surface waters.

The severe conditions caused problems for motorists and commuters on the road.
