Angola: Diamonds Generate Over 3,000 Jobs

Luanda — At least 3,097 jobs were created from February to October this year, with the reorganization of the semi-industrial diamond exploration activity in the country.

Speaking to the press today, regarding the balance of the activities carried out by the Angolan National Diamond Trading Company (Sodiam), Endiama's Mining Geology Administrator, Ana Feijó, said that during the period under review, 22.766,88 carats of diamonds were traded at an average price of $ 64.62, with total revenues around $ 1.7 million.
