Angola Runs International Conference and Mining Exhibition

Luanda — Angolan and foreign mining firms, experts of the mining sector and policy-makers are attending on Wednesday the first international conference and mining exhibition, in Luanda.

The two-day event, co-organized by the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Petroleum and UK AME Trade firm, is being held under the motto "Promoting the potential of national mining sector through investments and diversification".

The event aims to promote the vision of the Angolan government regarding the mining subsector and create business partnership in all mining chain.

Angola's president, Joaõ Lourenço, is attend the event as guest of honour to witness the signing of various memos of understanding and contracts for investments.

The event is being attended by international firms like Blue Glacier, Tosyali, Alrosa and Anglo-American, as well as by some 400 delegates and 50 exhibitors from 17 countries.

This event takes place two weeks after the holding of an international conference on dimension stones held in the southern Huila Province.
