President Uhuru Kenyatta has received the much-awaited Building Bridges Initiative report at State House, Nairobi, at a ceremony attended by his Deputy William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

The report, set to be formally released to be public on Wednesday, was handed over to him by the BBI taskforce Chairman Senator Yusuf Haji.

Among the radical proposals in the report is the creation of a Prime Minister's post and the seat of the Official Leader of Opposition who will be an ex-officio Member of Parliament and will be drawn from the second runner's up in the presidential election.

The report also proposes the re-naming of Cabinet Secretaries to Cabinet Ministers-some of who will be appointed from among Members of Parliament.
