South Africa: Caution to Students During School Holidays

press release

Following the recent incidents of pupils being involved in Pens Down/ Explosion school closing party holidays, KwaZulu-Natal police sends a stern warning to those who will be attending these parties behave themselves and not get into trouble with the law.

Police will be deployed in hotspot areas and the beaches to ensure that those who use drugs and alcohol in public places are arrested. Drug-taking among our youth is destroying their lives and future. We want schools to be safe so that our children can empower themselves with knowledge for their future. Parents and communities have a responsibility to educate our children with regards to the dangers of indulging in drugs. We also encourage communities to continue informing us of the presence of drug dealers.
